Monthly donations accounting note:

The graphic summary of LP Texas’ revenue for our Campaign goal combines the two types of donations we receive. When a donation is a monthly pledge it is reported at 100%. When we receive a one-time donation it is annualized, that is, reported at 1/12 of the amount actually received.

So, a monthly pledge of say $50 is reported as $50, but if the same amount is a one-time donation, it is reported as $4.17, or one-twelve of the amount received. The remainder is allocated equally over the following eleven months.

The approach allows us to forecast our revenue stream most efficiently.
